Bat Removal

On the evening of August 12 we suffered a small scale bat invasion. We chased the bat into an unoccupied room, where it promptly disappeared. It took us all day to find where the bat was hiding. Once the Bat was discovered, we called in the resident "Bat Wrangler" Daniel Calder. Daniel devised a simple device (by Rube Goldberg standards) to capture the bat without harming it or endangering us. After several aborted attempts, and further modifications to the "capture bag" we finally made a successful entrapment. We quickly took our new friend outside, snapped a few pictures, and released the small mammal. He flew off immediately and seemed no worse for his experience. Now to climb into the attic and staple new screen over all the vents....Fun,Fun,Fun........
